Grow Alabama meats are grown by Alabama farmers without the use of any hormones or antibiotics and only the vaccinations required by Alabama law, which would only be required in beef, pork, lamb and goat. Total grassfed is our goal. The individual descriptions below will give you more detail per animal. The chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits and fish are grown and processed on the Mt Laurel farm and the chickens, turkeys, geese and ducks are physically processed kosher/halal, without the current availability of a Rabbi or Emum. The fish (Tilapia and Catfish) are grown from “fry” in our lake and the rabbit on a grass/grain diet. Organic grains are not reasonably affordable yet in Alabama. We have our feeds mixed for us by a local mill without any hormones, stimulants or any chemical additives. As the demand grows we will truck-in organic grains.

Chickens: $16ea. The chickens normally range from 4-5 lbs, occasionally more or less. Our chickens are grown free-range on a grass and feed diet with plenty of fresh, clean water. You receive them whole, fresh-dressed and vacuum-packed. They freeze very good with no discernable loss in flavor or moisture. Chickens are delivered monthly throughout the year. Because we only grow to order, your order will need to be a standing monthly order, 2 per month minimum, delivered once per month.

Turkeys: $4.25/lb. Fresh turkeys are available for Thanksgiving and Christmas only. They are grown and dressed in the same way as the chickens. This year they will weigh in the range of 12-30 lbs. Order them soon.

Ducks: $24 each. The ducks are White Pekins; normally raised for restaurant use.
They are grown and dressed in the same way as the chickens and will weigh in the
5-7 lb range. They are available year-round. You may order them on the monthly basis,
as with the chickens, or you may order them as wanted.

Goose: $65 each. A goose, especially for holidays, is a real treat. They are raised and processed
kosher/halal, as our other poultry. They will weigh in the 10-12 lb. Range.

Rabbits: $16 each. They are restaurant quality, very tasty and tender, raised on grass and good grains. Rabbits are available year-round. Order as desired. They will come to you dressed (whole) and vacuum-packed.

Tilapia/Catfish Fish: $9/$6We are working on other varieties. Tilapia is a warm-water fish and not available (fresh) after October. When the water gets below 50 degrees we will dress all the fish remaining, vacuum pack and freeze. You may order as desired. Catfish will be available year-round.

Pork: $3.75/lb. (plus a $25 packing/shipping fee). Pork is available only by the quarter. A dressed quarter weighs in the range of 25-35 lbs. You may order a quarter at any time. If none is available at the time of your order, you will be on the list for the next available.
The pork is raised in Shelby County on grass and healthy grain and dressed in a USDA facility. Individual cuts are vacuum packed and frozen and it is delivered frozen.
